खिलाफत आंदोलन भारतीय मुसलमानों द्वारा राष्ट्रवादियों के साथ मिलकर आरंभ किया गया एक आंदोलन था जिसका उद्देश्य प्रथम विश्व युद्ध के बाद। इस्लाम के खलीफा के रूप में तुर्की के ऑटोमन सुल्तान की सत्ता को बनाए रखने हेतु ब्रिटिश सरकार पर दबाव डालना था। यह आंदोलन असहयोग आंदोलन के साथ आरंभ हुआ और आंदोलन के दौरान हिंदू - मुस्लिम एकता पर अधिक जोर दिया गया।
Khilafat Movement was a movement started by Indian Muslims along with nationalists after the First World War. The aim was to put pressure on the British government to maintain the power of the Ottoman Sultan of Turkey as the Caliph of Islam. This movement started with the Non-Cooperation Movement and during the movement a lot of emphasis was laid on Hindu-Muslim unity.

The fourth dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, Sayyid Dynasty, was founded by Khizr Khan in 1414 AD. This dynasty was founded soon after the invasion of Timur and the fall of the Tughlaq Dynasty. Khizr Khan was the governor of Multan under the Tughlaq ruler Firoz Shah Tughlaq.

दिल्ली की स्थापना 736 ई० में राजपूत वंश के तोमर शासक अनंग पाल के द्वारा की गई थी। उस समय इसे लाल कोट के रूप में जाना जाता था। चंद्रदाई की प्रसिद्ध कृति पृथ्वीराज रासो के अनुसार, अनंग पाल ने दिल्ली में " किल्ली" ( कील) की स्थापना की थी। यहीं से " ढिल्लिका" नाम से परिवर्तित आना प्रारंभ हो गया जिसे बाद में दिल्ली या दिल्ली के रूप में जाना जाने लगा।
Delhi was founded in 736 AD by Tomar ruler Anang Pal of Rajput dynasty. At that time it was known as Lal Kot. • गुप्त शासकों ने सिक्के जारी किए जिनमें सम्राटों को न केवल शेर/बाघ का शिकार करना, हथियारों के साथ पोज देना आदि जैसी मार्शल गतिविधियों में दर्शाया गया था, बल्कि वीणा बजाने जैसी आरामदायक गतिविधियों में भी दिखाया गया था, सिक्के के पिछले हिस्से में देवी लक्ष्मी, दुर्गा, गंगा की तस्वीरें थीं। , गरुड़ और कार्तिकेय।

वाडगांव का सम्मेलन 13 जनवरी, 1779 को हुआ था. यह सम्मेलन अंग्रेज़ों और मराठों के बीच हुआ था. यह सम्मेलन भारत के पहले मराठा युद्ध (1775-82) के बाद हुआ था.
