A university in India has been in the news during the AI Summit in Delhi after an official allegedly made a claim that a robotic dog made in China was developed by the university.

Later, some people on social media identified the robotic dog as the Go2 model, which is made by a Chinese company called Unitree Robotics. The model is available in the market and costs at least ₹2,00,000 (approximately $2,200 or £1,600).

The university later released a statement on Wednesday denying that it had made any claims about developing the robot. It said that the controversy was a “propaganda campaign” and explained its stand on the issue of the robot being demonstrated at the summit.
