पेसमेकर एक छोटा उपकरण है जिसे असाधारण हृदय गति की नियंत्रित करने हेतु छाती या पेट पर लगाया जाता है। यह उपकरण हृदय की धड़कन को सामान्य करने हेतु कम - ऊर्जा वाले इलेक्ट्रिकल स्पंद का प्रयोग करता है। पेसमेकर का प्रयोग ( arrhythamias) के उपचार में किया जाता है।
A pacemaker is a small device that is worn on the chest or abdomen to control abnormal heart rhythms. This device uses low-energy electrical pulses to normalize the heartbeat. Pacemakers are used to treat arrhythmias.

The term smooth muscle refers to the muscles of the human body which are a part of the involuntary muscle group. These include the walls of hollow organs, walls of stomach, intestines, aorta, small arteries, arterial galls and veins, urinary bladder, uterus, male and female reproductive systems, respiratory system, etc.

Anemia is a condition in which there is a lack of blood in the body due to lack of haemoglobin or healthy red blood cells. There are mainly three types of anaemia, which are usually caused by loss of blood, decreased production of red blood cells and disorders in the growing red blood cells. Decreased production of red blood cells is usually due to iron deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency, thalassemia and decreased number of marrow albumin.

Pellagra is a medical condition that causes skin disease, diarrhea and dementia. This disease usually occurs more in people who are malnourished. The main cause of Pellagra disease is the deficiency of vitamin B-3 (low levels of Niacin) in the body. This disease is most common in developing countries, especially sub-Saharan Africa.

विटीलीगों के रूप में प्रसिद्ध, लुकोडर्मा एक त्वचा रोग है जो त्वचा रंजकता ( मेलानिन) के नुकसान का कारण बनता है और त्वचा को सफेद बनाता है। त्वचा पर सफेद धब्बे को लुकोडर्मा कहा जाता है। जब स्थित गंभीर हो जाती है , तो धब्बे सिरों, चेहरे और जननांगों सहित शरीर के लगभग सभी हिस्सों पर दिखने लगते हैं।
Also known as vitiligo, leucoderma is a skin disease that causes loss of skin pigmentation (melanin) and makes the skin look white. White patches on the skin are called leucoderma. When the condition becomes severe, the patches start appearing on almost all parts of the body including the extremities, face and genitals.

The process of photosynthesis in a plant takes place inside the chloroplasts in the mesophyll of the leaves. Chloroplasts contain disc-shaped structures called thalloids which contain the chlorophyll. The chlorophyll absorbs parts of the visible spectrum and obtains energy from sunlight.

The morphology of chromosome can be studied clearly in metaphase stage of cell division as at this stage chromosomes are more condensed, dense and completely arranged. In a typical chromosome following structures are observed: Chromotids, Chromonemata, Initial constriction (Centramere), Secondary constriction (Nucleotide organization), Satellite, Telomere and Chromospore.

The stomach is a muscular organ located in the left part of the upper abdomen which receives food from the oesophagus. Since the stomach helps in digestion by moving food forward in the alimentary canal, it is an organ of the human body. Glands secrete juices that facilitate the functions of the body. Since the stomach secretes gastric juice to aid digestion, it is also a gland of the human body.
