The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team recently performed a spectacular air show in Hyderabad as part of the Indian Air Force’s celebrations. On December 6, 2024, the team showcased intricate aerial maneuvers at Hussain Sagar. The 30-minute display featured nine Hawk Mk 132 aircraft executing formations like loops, rolls, the “Surya Kiran burst,” and patterns such as diamonds and DNA structures. The show captivated spectators, who cheered and recorded the breathtaking performances.

The aerobatic team is scheduled to perform another display on, December 8, 2024, at Hussain Sagar between 3 PM and 5 PM. This event is part of a larger IAF initiative to engage with the public and celebrate national milestones​

Additionally, during the Combined Graduation Parade at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad, SKAT showcased their aerobatic skills alongside other aircraft such as Pilatus PC-7 Mk-II, Dornier, Hawk, Kiran, Chetak, and the Sarang Helicopter Display Team. This event celebrated the graduation of flight cadets, with Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari officiating the ceremony​.
